It's not a secret that Åre is Sweden's alps. It's for the people who seek out Adventure, fresh air, and an outstanding sight of an outdoor life especially for those who wants to get the best out of their skiing. There are great challenges for advanced skiers and a challenge for intermediaries. In summer there are opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, fishing, bird watching, swimming, rafting, paragliding and hang gliding, rock climbing, caving, etc.

  • Åre is thirteen kilometers from Trostebacken, and from there you can take a cabel lift up to Åreskutans top station.
    Tännforsen is Sweden's largest waterfall its almost 38 meters. Impressive in summer as well as in winter.
    On top of a hill outside Åre lies Carolinians monument which was built on a cemetery of the 600 Carolinians who were buried there January 20, 1719.
    Approximately 30 KM from Trostebacken lies Vålådalen ,from there starts several leads. Among other things, there is a simple trail on Ottfjället.

  • Storulvåns tourist station is located at 735 meters high up on the mountain. It takes about an hour to drive there from Trostebacken.
    Handöl is best known for extraction of Soapstone (also known as steatite or soaprock), but there is also a powerful waterfalls to see.
    From Vålådalen is a light-oriented trail to the church stone. The name comes from a Sami boy was baptized on the spot during the 1700s.
    About ten km from Trostebacken lies Ristafallet it's a 50 meters wide waterfall and it has a total drop of 14 meters.
